We recommend using Mudlet for accessing and playing Nuke 2. This modern client supports
Mud Client
- UTF-8: Modern and up-to-date keyset that works even with foreign characters. We do have a mini-quest that involves Japanese characters already. So make sure to set your client to UTF-8 mode (Options -> General -> Server Data Encoding: UTF-8 (Recommended).
- Maps (which we support as well).
- Sounds and background music (Not ready from our side yet, but we're working on it)
- Ad-hoc graphics and bars for hit-points and such (also in progress).
Setting up the game
- Make sure you have 'ansi on' to get colours to show.
- Try 'fancy on' to see our new "book-style" layout for room descriptions.
- Set the number of rows on your screen using the 'rows' command.
- Set your favorite 'width' of your screen as well depending on how you setup Mudlet.
Support for visually impaired people
- Try 'simplify on' to remove bars and ASCII-gfx from the MUD.
