January, 2021
* Inventory weight is now calculated in grams behind the scenes - you can still use 'metric <on/off>' command to decide what you want to see.
* Mobs can now follow you, or flee as appropriate. Not all mobs will, but some do already.
* Player housing! You can now rent an apartment and leave all your stuff there! Just remember to pay rent, it costs even if you're offline for a period. It requires that you have money in the bank since the rent is paid directly from your bank account. Have fun!
* Taming of creatures that can be used as pack creatures (using 'draft chips') or as combat aids (using 'combat chips') that you install on the creatures once tamed. A simple chip for creatures at level 5 or below and an advanced one for creatures level 15 and below.
* New skills for Yakitori gang.
* Gun turrets and electronic doors can now be overriden by LF Electronics members. Remember to craft batteries for the gun turrets before attempting to override them!
The gun turret turns towards Female Devils warrior and the gun ports opens.
A gun turret fires a salvo of bullets straight into Devils warrior's head, blam blam blam!
You are caught off guard, and Female Devils warrior takes advantage and pummel you soundly.
You cannot use your right leg anymore.
A gun turret fires a salvo of bullets straight into Devils warrior's torso, blam blam blam!
Female Devils warrior is caught off guard, and you take advantage and pummel her soundly.
Female Devils warrior leaves south.
The gun turret closes the gun ports and resumes scanning.

December, 2020
* Weapons and armors now have durability and can be repaired using materials.
* Armors can now be worn in two layers if they're made for that, i.e. you can wear a Kevlar vest underneath your jacket.
* HP distribution over your limbs have been changed to better reflect the size of real humanoid limbs.
* The size of limbs are now included in the chance that the limb gets hit. Before this, you had 6 limbs with equal chance to hit, so your head would get hit 16% (100/6) of the time. Now that we have limb size be a part of this your head now dropped to a 10% chance, and your torso went from 16% to 30%.

November, 2020
* First gang mission can be run to get favor for the gang, and the favor can now be spent on getting favors (currently only an XP buff, but more in the future). Your buffs can be seen in 'score' cmd.
* Endocrine system skill that can be trained to better allow your body to handle abuse from cigarettes, drugs, radioactive components and such.
* Boozing skill will help you tolerate alchohol better. To train it start with the lesser alchohols until you've built up some tolerance.
* Haggle skill that uses your charisma to determine cheaper purchases and getting more money for sales.
* New command 'fancy' that makes the room descriptions longer but more along the layout you would see in a book.
* Added new level 4-8 area to get some more low-level actitivities called "Village".

Tsath: /* January, 2021 */

January, 2021
* Taming of creatures that can be used as pack creatures (using 'draft chips') or as combat aids (using 'combat chips') that you install on the creatures once tamed. A simple chip for creatures at level 5 or below and an advanced one for creatures level 15 and below.
* Gun turrets and electronic doors can now be overriden by LFE members.

Associations
In Nuclear War MUD gangs were rampant and a big part of the game. In Nuke2 we intend this to be the case as well, but some of the gangs are a bit more sophisticated than the brutality of a "gang", so in Nuke2 you'll meet "Associations". A part of an association may be a gang, but the association is likely more than just the gang. There are many plans for associations (and hence gangs) in Nuke2, and not all of them are in place yet - below you can see the level of implementation each one of them are at in the current game and take a gander at what we're thinking about.

Association Structure
Unlike in Nuke1, the associations in Nuke2 will have several association tiers. One tier will be an entry tier into the association where everyone can join and receive some basic skills that fit the theme of that association, another tier will be mid-level with yet other skills added, and there will also be high tier for senior players with high-level skills. This will introduce a system where you'll have to work your way up an association to become part of the end-game.

Tenno
The current planned tiers of the Tenno are:

# Yakitori
# ...
# Tenno

Yakitori - Tier 1
The Yakitori association is a street level gang of "Chicken Kebab Salesmen" hiding their illegal activities behind a Restaurant Front on Adams Street in Abacus.

Skills

Hackers
The current planned tiers of the Hackers are:

# LF Electronics
# ...
# Hackers

LF Electronics - Tier 1
The LF Electronics store in downtown is the first entry point into the Hackers association.

Skills
None yet.

This wiki briefly describes some of things you need to help us test Nuke II at its current state. Nuke II is still under development and is not by any means "done". It contains bugs that can be abused, bugs that will kill you, bugs that will cheat you out of a reward, and many other kinds - if that's okay with you (?) ... you can continue.

You can go to http://nuke-ii.themud.org:7878/ and log in to play right now!
We maintain a public list of New Features, so it's easier to log in on Mondays after a log weekend of programming.
Be careful!
We have some fairly deadly mobs, so be sure to press enter to check your HP prompt and use the hp command, and set your wimpy.

[WOUNDED!] Your torso has 1 hp!
You wimpy east!
You wiggle on the ground trying to move.
You cannot move! How are your legs doing?
You swing a fist at a mutant spider, but miss wildly.
A mutant spider catches you square in the torso with both fangs.
You have kicked the bucket, and are now pushing up the daisies.

You have died

A pity, really. Way too many people dying these days for me to just patch
everyone up. Oh well, you'll live.
